Re: Mason Dixon Dragway Sat Oct 16th
I wish I wasn't working that weekend. I have not made enough 1/4 miles passes this year.

Sounds good Rich. Barring some weather disaster, I'll be going. Mike will be bringing his Z up too, and Sean's taking his LT4. So it should be pretty fun.

Re: Mason Dixon Dragway Sat Oct 16th
Mike couldn't make it, but Sean and Rich and I were there. It was pretty fun, although the traction was terrible. It was just like in April, you could get out of the hole ok, but on the 1-2 shift the car would slide all over the place.
Rich made a couple passes, and struggled for traction too. I guess I was still irritated from April, because one run and I was done. Sean made a few passes, then Rich noticed he had some coolant in the engine bay. It looks like just a loose hose clamp, but he decided to play it safe. Sean was fired up to race some more, though, so I persuaded him to take my car. He put it in the 12's on the first pass, and 12.6's on the second. I think his best was a 12.66@112mph in it. I have some videos, mostly of Corvettes breaking loose down the track. They are big, 1080p, so I'll figure out some way to share them. I can host the files, but I suspect they are large. I'll check if youtube does HD video for free.

Here's Rich spinning down the track:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9i_bUqAHFVk He's probably not gonna be glad I posted it, but the only other video I have of his car running, he gets smoked by a Focus! Here's a Z06 that just drove off the line like he was driving out of his garage. Traction was an issue, and I think it might have been his first time at the strip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJ4-McLceok

Actually, here is another of Rich, sans Focus. You can see how the car will kick around on the shift:

Re: Mason Dixon Dragway Sat Oct 16th
And lilredcorvette94 from CF:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLjSm9xS-cQ There were not very many Corvettes that showed up, it was pretty much the Mustang show. There were two new 5.0's. One was an auto on street tires and he blew the tires away a bunch, mostly ran 14's. The other had DR's on and was a manual. I would swear he ran through the lights in 5th, he shifted a lot. He ran a 12.22@115mph that I saw. And another 12.5 or so. I got a video of him, but he ran a 13.50+ that time...
