Default Dymag Gen I Repros

just spoke to a company that has been around since the 1890s, still in the early stages, but initial discussion is $400-$800 per wheel to repro in magnesium.

Any interest?

GenII's would be my vote. My hat's off to you for trying to get something going, Lee. It takes a lot of work to get something off the ground. People don't realize how much work it really is.

I still have one set of 17x11 and 17x9.5 GenI's for sale.

Lee, would there be any cost advantage to doing the wheels in Aluminum??

It would be interesting, but a more modern design would be a better bet, IMO. Gen II's that are light and also don't require spacers would be cool (the actual Gen II's are about as heavy as FM5's).

The first gen also has poor brake clearance.

How about Dymags in either a 18 or 19" config? You could take advantage of more modern tire tech and still maintain a bit of a original look.

Well, they asked for photos, I sent them pics, and then they brought up the $17K fee for setting up the casting...hmmmm

We would need 1 hell of a group purchase
