Default New ZR1 Owner

Hi All,

I go by the name of Don in VT. The new owner is my wife Cherry and she will use my user name. I also have an 87 that is driven year round. Yes I drive it in winter if there is no ice. I use Hakka 5's non studded for the snow and slush.

The Z will not be driven at all in the winter but in the summer Cherry will drive it every day to work. If she gets Vette fever in the winter she can drive the 87, When things get real bad we also have a Volvo XC.

Between my friend, a mechanic, and me we will keep it running. I have a little quad cam experience as prior to returning to Corvettes I had several Porsche 928's and in the process I have totally rebuilt 2 DOHC motors.

Cherry helped on the last 928 rebuild and is looking forward to doing some light mechanical work and most of the cosmetic stuff.

The Z she bought was the Yellow 90 with tan interior that was recently on Ebay. It is being shipped to us soon.

We look forward o being part o the ZR1 family

Regards.

Cherry and Don

That is terrific! You are a lucky man - a wife who works on a car with you!
Wecome to the home of Z fanatics - will you be coming to the Carlisle?

Congrats to Cherry and you both! Welcome to the Brother/Sisterhood!

It is a joy having a wife that shares in our passions. U a lucky man. Not everyone here can say that - in that regard, at least.

My Ami bought her own dream Vette; a '69 vert, 4-speed. She doesn't do the wrenching, but will keep me company while I do it for her. For her birthday a couple summers ago she wanted side pipes "to make it more rumbly!" I think that about says it!

I might warn you not to drive the Z too much. In my case, one test drive and I was hooked. I traded the 95 Vette for the 90 ZR-1 and never looked back!

Enjoy!

P.
