FS: 415" Bare Block $2000.00
I'm selling a 415" block, it's the bare block only, but is already machined for the larger crank with all clearances performed. It was removed from a 415" car a couple years back.
Has the sleeves installed still & contains upper and lower crankcase, also has studded main caps with 10mm bolts. A good block that's ready to be hot tanked and put into service. $2000.00 + shipping of $150.00 |

IS that an 2 Bolt or 4 bolt block...and for that matter...does it even make a difference when doing a 415 build?

Re: FS: 415" Bare Block $2000.00
It's a 2 bolt block "10mm studs" . No way to fit 10mm in a 4 bolt block.
I don't think it matters. My 402 is on the 2 bolt block, and most 385-415's are the earlier cars. |

Re: FS: 415" Bare Block $2000.00
Hi Brett,
It was out of my personal car back in the day, was a fully built 415 that spun a bearing & took out the crank, i ran NOS on the car so as a precaution, Bill K. put the studded mains in place so as to prevent crank walk. Work was done by BK and he did the studded mains, currently has the LA Sleeves still and may be able to re-use them, but the sleeves do have some scoring so they should be replaced. It's a perfect good stroker block with all the modifictaions already done. I also have the dropped plenum and big heads to go with it if you interested, the heads have big valves and ti retainers etc.. |

Thanks, Kurt. I'm currently studying up on this stuff and am considering all options of an upgraded LT5. I'll keep your block in the memory banks.
Brett
