A/C Diagnostic Mode
Is there a reference somewhere that shows what the numbers in the diag mode refer to? well the ones that arent a setting but give info.
I found some info in the FSM & electrical, but it doesnt decribe how to chk the coolant temp and other info you can get from it.could it be in OM.. My owners manual was in my pizza box, in my house that Ike flooded. lucky my manuals were in the Z. I know how to hold the up/dwn arrows and #16 is for coolant what else can i get? the manual shows other numbers and their default settings...but skips numbers around 16 though. just cant find it anywhere, I've search threads and got some info but was wanting to understand it completely. Forgive me if I have described it improperly. confused... thanks Luis |

Re: A/C Diagnostic Mode
Look in section 8D of the FSM - it's all there in my 91 manual.

Re: A/C Diagnostic Mode
thank you! I looked again last nite but its all about the ccm diagnostics. I have read it somewhere in some thread, but seem to be unable to locate it again. I think I may be describing it wrong. on the a/c panel, when you hold down the up/dwn arrow keys for few sec's it displays: -00- then I push the up arrow scrolling to #16, then push the button between the arrows and it displays the coolant temp in celsius : 91 I am trying to find out what the other numbers that scroll are. Re: A/C Diagnostic Mode
Page 1C1-5 in the 90 FSM gives the codes you are looking for. However, I do not believe ALL the codes are there as 16 does not show. I do believe that 16 is coolent temp in C.

Re: A/C Diagnostic Mode
what i do when i want to ck coolant emps oil temps in my 90 is hook up my auto xray 4000 scan tool that will give me real time data for hrs if i leave it hooked up . i even made a holder that fits in the cup holder so i can just leave it on while driving . i like cking block learns and knock counts etc . passes the time while on the freeway ,since every where i go is a couple of hundred miles away

Re: A/C Diagnostic Mode
I wanted to bring this thread back from the dead. I am somewhat a newbie to the ZR1 and my brother has had his for almost 2 years now and HE also just found out about the a/c button trick. Can anyone map out for me what all the different numbers can tell us? Or point me to something that can?
Thanks
