Shelby Series 1 Wheels fitment
Okay I've tried reading all the posts on these wheels and am not sure what I need to do, if anything to make them fit.
I have a 94 with Wilwood 6 piston calipers and 13" rotors (part no 140-8337) up front and just purchased some Shelby wheels. I don't have the wheels yet and want to know what I have to do to make them fit. I would like to do as little as possible. Last edited by pantera1683; 05-25-2010 at 11:36 AM. |

Re: Shelby Series 1 Wheels fitment
From what I have read if you use the stock brakes the Shelby Rims fit with no issues...but for larger calipers you have to unbolt the centers from the front wheels and move them towards the outside of the wheel...then run a wheel spacer to get brake caliper clearance.

Re: Shelby Series 1 Wheels fitment
I'm not sure about the rears...i didn't pay it to much concern because I run the stock brake system. The Shelby Series 1 ran the same brake system, so I guess it is good enough. Hah...I'd love a Wilwood setup.
If you have stock rear brakes; yes they fit, at least that is what I was told. My tires come in Thursday, and as soon as I get them mounted and find a Lugnut Key for those crazy lugnuts; I will mount em up. |

If you can't find your lugnut key, you might be better off taking it to discount tire, they will take them off for $20. Of course the locks will be useless after but they are pretty useless now anyway.

Re: Shelby Series 1 Wheels fitment
the rears were not too bad, but they were newer with longer studs from the GS wheels I had with spacers Front were tough since they were original (63K miles) get the tool to press them out though
