O.k. Since I have been having an alarm trouble, rather than locking with the power lock switch, I closed the door, inserted the door key and turned to lock.
Once locked, I tried to turn counterclockwise to remove the key but it won't budge. With my limited knowledge; 1. tumbler got screwy and got jammed in lock position. 2. whatever it is that coordinates between cylinder lock to to lock/inlock mechanism is jammed. 3. Or alarm switch (one with wires coming out) behind the lock cylinder is jammed. I guess I will have o pull the door panel to take a closer look and if all fails, order a pair of lock cylinders. If anyone has any helpful info please post. |

Emails being sent... due to image sizes will send multiple emails...you should clear out as you get them to keep from stuffing your email account

Glad to hear you got everything worked out. Did the painter remove the locks? Do you think that had something to do with the problem you had?

I did confirm that they removed the handle before painting as I have asked. That alone must have added 2-3 hrs - real honest guys. Some painter wouldn't have gone to all that trouble. |
