Default Ford GT just went 267+ mph

in the standing mile. Congrans to Ken (great guy). This was going into a 15 mph headwind. Rumor has it at the private track the day before he went 269.9.

This, in my opinion officially kills the Supra as the car to beat in this sport. The king is dead, long live the king!

The standing mile is just what it sounds like, run what you brung, and no other rules pretty much lol.

That my friend is what a 2200 hp car sounds like. It spells the end of the supras imho, as we are bouncing the rev limiter at ~250 mph. SW is currently changing the rear in his supra to a 9" ford irs setup so he can run a gear more suitable to the mile than the 3.12:1, so we shall see.

Rumor has it the ford gt has ~750k in it, not that it matters, it is just plaine MEAN.

Oh, the "street racing" sport. I see.
Very entertaining sound for sure.
Sounded like it was missing just after entering 2nd.
Once that is straightened out it may hit 270 !
Scratch the supra, long live the GT

Well I thought the zr-1 guys would find this interesting, since life begins at 180. Don't the zr-1 guys do something similar to this at a airstrip, or am I wrong?

that's just insane....a stock zr-1 will need about 5 miles to hit 180 if I'm remembering correctly....267 and change....i'm floored.
