Default WHat is a ZR-1 called

I am working on some of my display boards for #004 is it a:

1989 Corvette ZR-1

or

1989 ZR-1 Corvette

THoughts?

I would think the main model name would come before the submodel

I agree. Seems to me like it is more correct to have the main model name come first. That is also how GM refers to it, here is a pic of the "Epilog" at the back of the big ZR-1 book in the Pizza box that came with some the '90 Z's.

great, thanks for the input. I have rarely called it a Corvette. It seems odd to me either way for some reason...

I don't either I call it a ZR-1 but it sounds more officail corvette ZR-1 oh hell I dont know doesnt matter really you could call it the King Of The Hill!

I just looked at the orginial promo pack that I got when I purchased my ZR-1 and it reads, " 1991 CORVETTE ZR-1". Every item has this embossed on it in this manner. Hope that helps

Don't they both work?
In fact doesn't this also work?

Corvette ZR1 1990
Notice even with no hyphen it's like magic.
It's the same car.
You could even say
90 ZR1 Vett
and it would be the same car.
