Which short shifter?
Which short shifter do you recommend, and where is the best place to get it? The broom handle on this thing is driving me insane

Re: Which short shifter?
Personally I like Hurst... They are on Ebay for about $150.
Many Use Bill B's shifter too http://www.zfdoc.com/S6-40ShifterOptions.htm David |

Re: Which short shifter?
I kinda like bills as it looks like the hurst retains the stock height, or am I incorrect? Thanks for the response

Re: Which short shifter?
I've used both and I like the Bill B. shifter. But for the money, the Hurst works great. Throws are about the same, but Bill's retains the reverse lockout, Hurst is crash through, no lockout.
Bill B. - $260 plus you have to send him your shifter to modify Hurst - $169 (pricing outdated) on the Registry website, Merchandise For Sale , no shipping charges. Or email CRinehart@gatech.edu

Re: Which short shifter?
I had Bill's and took it out and replaced with a Hurst. To me, the Hurst shifted smoother. Just my opinion...

Anyway, I chose one that not only preserves the stock height but keeps the reverse lockout too. If interested I can look up more info. The installation does require grinding off a small bit metal from the casting.

Re: Which short shifter?
Thanks.
I ordered a hurst, and will send my stocker to bill for him to modify. I will keep the one I like, and sell the other one after I have had time to compare them |

Re: Which short shifter?
I ordered Bill's. Just installed it last week and I'm very satisfied with it. It looks much nicer in the vehicle too!
