Hi guys. I just purchased a rear bumper for a 90. I plan to make repro moldings. How many need them if I make a quality repro?
Thanks

Not sure. What would GM pcs sell for? What do you think is a fair market price for a repro?

I usually charge $400 for a used set of rear moldings all 4 pieces that seems to be a bit lower than most charge but there were moe 90s made than any other year but the 91-95 moldings seem to comand a much higher price Ive seen up to $1000 for the rear moldings. Now if you do the math there are just as many of the wide moldings as the skinny black so I havent a clue why the prices are crazy but thats the way it is.

I would venture to guess since a used set cost anywhere from the $300-$500 range that anything new reproduction wise that is slow lets say $100 below that cost threshold should sell. Especially if you take on the "dog leg" moldings as well.

I'll probably pass on this item as a repro. No biggie.
Thanks for the input, guys! ![]()

Nice collection of moldings! I hear people searching for them and I just bought a rear bumper that's very nice with moldings. I don't mind helping to fill a niche IF there is a market. Often times though, people want the product but think that someone should do them dirt cheap. It takes a lot of effort, legwork and time to make any quality part.
I'll do them (and other parts also) IF there's a market and it's worth my time.

However, if your body guy is good you can take regular C4 moldings and make them yourself in a bind. |

For $200 a set, I don't think it's worth the time it takes to develop the end product. Maybe closer to $400.
