From one of my members:
After very minor modifications to the tray (trimming the centering tabs so the tray was wide enough), the battery "fit," but the clearance between the positive top post and the cruise control servo bracket was too close for comfort for me. I removed the cruise control servo and bracket. Although, modifying the bracket by notching it out would not be that big of a deal if you like cruise control. Some people say the battery fits their car. I presume they are counting on the thin plastic terminal insulator to prevent grounding. I would not do that with the clearance that was available in my (stock) car. Other members of the net cut the positive top post off. However, two of them report battery failure shortly after cutting the post.

Thanks
I usually put Optimas in all of my vehicles, but I guess I'll just get a replacement GM one, the correct size for the ZR1. |
