Default Bilstein project revalve and more info

As most of you know I have DRM coilovers on my car. I have been running them for 6 years now. I had my factory shocks revalved 2 years prior to installing the coilovers.

Currently Bilstein offers several revalves
A) Factory spec
B) Marlin (autocross)
c) Morocco (Stiffer)

I run the Morocco and find that it is still livable for daily driving. Older people or those that have back problems might find it a bit rough.

So, after 9 years, the shocks have been showing some float lately going over road imperfections. Which is unacceptable. I had a spare set of Bilstein fronts, which I have sent off. (I will update turn around time when I receive them)

Shocks as they were sent

Bilstein will be doing the following upgrades

1) Morocco revalve
2) Install eurethane lower bushings
3) Notch for coilovers
4) instructed them to send new labels for me to apply.

Bilstein has set up a page dedicated to the shock rebuilds, they also have a pdf form to fill out with your info to include with the shocks.

Now when refinishing them, since Bilstein doesn't, I contacted the company that creates/mixes the paint for Bilstein.

Ellis, used to sell individual cans, but now they insist on selling you a case of 12. The code is #217 I will have my spares available for sale shortly. I imagine 1 can will cover all 4 shocks with a couple of coats.

To be continued.....

Ellis supplies directly to Bilstein, so who knows.

But this is how the tops turned out today.
