Default Samco Hose Question

I replaced the original air intake duct with a Samco replacement about 18 months ago. Just took the Samco duct off and noticed the band clamp that secures the duct over the throttle body extension was rubbing against the pulley directly below the throttle body extension. The Samco duct fits up to the 2 marks on the throttle body and there is not any "wiggle" room. Any thoughts on what can be done to fix other than actually trimming the thickness of the Samco duct which is not a likely solution. I am probably missing something with the Samco install.
Thanks for your help and advice!

Is it rubbing or cutting on the AC pulley?

I was just wondering how much we needed to move. Is it cutting on the metal band or just the rubber?

The overall thickness of the samco is more than the factory plastic duct. You might try seeing if there is a spot that you can use that it will not be hitting the AC pulley. Just move it forward or aft and check and see. If that doesn't work, you are going to need to trim it.

you could also try to flip it around to see if it sits better that way.

I have one on my car but it came with it so I left it but it seems like I have it installed upside down its the one branded with lingenfelter
