Ignition Key 91 ZR-1
Haven't lost it yet but I'm figuring I should get a replacement ignition key coded for my 91.
I see a couple of sights that advertise them like Ecklers who were a pain to deal with once on something else..anyway...are they available other places and HOW do you know which Vats code you need? |

Re: Ignition Key 91 ZR-1
I got mine (OEM blanks) from an ebay seller. The VATS codes stand for different resistance of the little metal piece embedded into the key. To be on the safe side just measure the resistance with a common tester
There are translation tables in the internet. You might also think to override VATS. There is a how to in the solutions section plus there are plug and play solutions available on ebay, too. Good luck!

I hate to say this, but, your Chevy dealer
can probably fix you up. They should be able to read the pellet and cut the key. Just be thankful you don't need a current Mercedes' or BMW key... ☹️ |

Re: Ignition Key 91 ZR-1
My local locksmith has the ignition key blanks and took care of me without delay.
