Default Weak fans inside car at highest setting.

Not that I use my AC much, if at all..Still at setting 10 on the fans the stream of air is very weak....Any way to improve this ? Or its not operating correctly..??

Marc has run a new wire to run parallel to the original which made an improvement. I have manual AC and I am working on a plan for the same however GM ran wires back and forth across the car so it not as simple.

Has it always run weak? Is there any difference between 1, 5, and 10 setting? It could be fan control module.

Tell you the truth I believe it always has...Only used the AC a few times and that was on long trips with a lot of open roads..

I will check the fan control module...

if it varies, then I doubt it is the module..

In stock configuration mine had 10mph air flow out the vents. After Marc did the 200 amp alternator upgrade and double wired to the AC fan the output was measured at 14mph. Huge improvement in air flow for cooling and heating.

I followed suit and also installed 200 amp hair pin alternator along with a pair of Spal fans, extra 8 ga. Wire between the alternator and the battery plus 14 ga. between the battery and the HVAC module. Combination of extra cooling of ac condenser and extra oomph at HVAC condenser, it felt nice and cool even in 96 degree day in DC. This is with glass top.

Speaking of keeping cool, a good friend of mine is a car enthusiast currently owning a 65 Vette convertible, MB 300 series, and an AMG GTR. He has had ceramic glass tint installed which is claimed to cut solar load down significantly.
Anyone else here use that, and if so, what?s ur experience? For those of us w base C4 windshields, that would really help in keeping cool w AC.
