Greetings All
Not sure if this is the correct category for this post. New to this forum and Z ownership. Actually don?t receive the car for a week or two yet. Just acquired it from another Canadian forum member. ?91 #1564. Back / grey interior. 62,000 kms. She will live in the interior of B.C. He posted about it last fall when he acquired it. I am a long time C3. Big Block guy. This should be an exciting leap in technology.
Thanks to all the great contributors on this forum I am feeling pretty good about this purchase.

Welcome to ZR-1 registry. My very Corvette was a 79 L48 with mighty 185 horses I bought in July 79. Don?t seem that long ago?

Thanks for that, Thats funny, I had the same vette exactly a 79, l48 bought in 1980. No A/C. Went alright, nice driving car, went backwards from there, 74-454 for some time then 72-454 still have it, for sale need to make room for the Z. I was going to go to a C 2 big block but then Z fever took hold. Still waiting for mine to arrive, wont be long now. Then a provincial safety inspection, new Michelins then see what the fever is all about. Then maybe 2 more new 315 Michelins.

The 91 Z finally arrived in tact and shiny. Wow, a lot of car there. Pretty exciting. Cross Canada shipping was via TFX International. Very satisfactory experience with these folks will use them again. Waiting on provincial safety inspection next week before being able to insure and drive it, then straight to the tire shop. So far most everything works as it should except the stereo. From research here and elsewhere it seems it needs to come out and be sent for refurb. Until that gets sorted all the music will be issued from that strange looking beast under the hood. May never need the stereo. Looking forward to experiencing the drive. There will be questions but i know where to get the right answers.

My stereo was sent out shortly after I bought my Z, CD player wasn't working. It worked for a year or so then stopped working again. It seems the CD player is problematic, experience may vary when it comes to repair attempts on the original head unit. Tape player still works though, as does the radio.
