Hey Keith,
My recommendation is for Nitto NT555 G2 from Discounttiredirect.com. They are great all around performance tire at a reasonable price.

I have to agree with this also.
I put Nittos on mine last summer and have had no issues with them for normal driving around. Did a lot of research before buying and couldn't find anything close for the money.
I did put the (drag radial ?) on the rear. About the same money. I just liked the look.

I put Nittos on Girlfriend back in October, love them.
Quiet, sticky, and look good.
Half the cost of GSC's.

I'm running 18in Nitto 555's, the DR's in the rear, very grippy, first gear is actually usable with these i.e. doesn't result in instant wheel spin. My old Pilot Sports lasted a long time but they got hard as rocks and I was getting nothing but wheel spin in first and I could break them loose in second too if I wasn't careful. The Nittos probably won't last as long but I'll take good traction over tire life any day... and they were a whole lot cheaper.

Hi! I am new - I am located in Europe (Austria). I look for a ZR-1 in Europe. The tire question is due for me, too. Since we need Y (speed max 300) - do you know any tire open for this speed index (your tire recommendation is for max 270) - and open for distribution in Europe, too? If not: Do you have any recommendation for alternative rims on the ZR-1....sorry - Corvette Europe doesn't respond to such questions! Helmut

Helmut, to my knowledge in the original 315/35/17 tire only the GoodyearF1 GS-D3 is available in a Y rating. Not sure if they are available in Europe and even here are not currently in production. If they will allow a slightly larger tire that many successfully use here the Michelin Pilot Super Sports and Pirelli P-Zeros are available in 335/35/17. Although I suspect departure from original size in not allowed in Europe. Maybe some of our European members can chime in with their experience. Good luck.
