Default Got her turning over

Hi everyone, I have good news, after installing new/used clutch pedal assembly and a new ignition switch I can report success. When I depress the clutch and turn the key to start she spins like a big dog. Yay! Making ground, feels good.
I have the whole dash disassembled so I can find my next problem. I still have no power to HTD MIR, INST, FP1, fuses all the rest are powered. I still have no warning lights, no back lights, no tones at all. Does anybody know what color wires feed the fuses that are not working? I trying to read this 8A electrical manual but I don't see which color wires actually feed my dead fuses. Thanks, I'm happy she is coming alive ever so slowly👍👍😊

Nice work! As for the fuses, HTD MIR, INST and FP1 get their power from different sources. INST from the light switch, FP1 from fuel pump relay 1 and HTD MIR from the rear defogger relay. Have you pulled the fuse box and checked the back, has someone messed with it? Otherwise you’ll have to backtrack through each circuit to its source. Btw my 8a Manual shows all the wire colors.

Yea, I finally figured out the INST fuse only has power when light switch is turned on and it is working. In the process of getting to the ccm, got a mouse nest right under the wiring harnesses, that thing is tough to get to, going to check and clean ccm connectors and see what happens, the tone generator is in the same area so going to try diagnostic on it also. Just taking me a while to learn how to read the manual. It sounded good when it spun over, I can see light at the end of the tunnel, it's probably something simple I'm over looking, thanks Ccmano for the help, greatly appreciated 👍👍

Looking at the wiring diagrams it appears fuel pump relay 1 is only activated with the Ignition on and the ECM “seeing” all parameters met to start the engine. Otherwise there will be no power to the fuse. So with the ignition off there should be no power to that fuse. Similarly the HTD MIR fuse will have no power unless the rear fogger relay has been activated with the switch and the ignition on.

Been following this thread for some time. MMKKPro, you are learning a few important lessons about being a ZR-1 owner with your project. First, always have on hand a factory shop manual. Second, always come to the many experienced owners and experts on this forum for advice and help; they are an invaluable resource. Lastly, always exhibit a great deal of patience. You will eventually get to the end of the tunnel and boy will you enjoy your ZR-1 when you do. Good luck and keep up the good work. --Bob

Thank you Bob, the car sat for 4 or 5 years and I knew it was going to be a project. I been a drag racer all my life and have a shop to work out of so I'm staying the course. I was surprised to see the fuel sending/fuel pumps completely disintegrated, so that was 400 bucks but I'm lucky I even found a good one. I am making progress and it is rewarding.
I have asked many questions here and everyone has been very helpful, sometimes I feel my questions are kinda a common sense thing but I want to do this right. This is a special machine and I fully intend for her to be tooling down the road soon. The car is paid for so I could probably spend 10k or so getting her right and still be OK.
Thank you, Bob, and everyone else who has helped me so far, there will be many more questions I'm sure, but I'm confident she will be back proud as ever. 👍👍🏁
