Hello, I haven't posted pics of my car here so figured I should probably get around to it.

Bought it last Jun/July. Overall in very good shape. Documentation that came with it suggests its a 368 making 550hp. I do plan to determine whether or not that is accurate, but boy does it feel like its true!

First time owning a 'fun' car, and it has been a blast so far. I've taken it to a couple car shows and done a few events with some of the local corvette clubs. Originally I was looking at C3 Corvettes, but shied away because I was afraid of dealing with frame rust.

WAZOO has been great as well. That really is a fantastic group of people.

I have almost no information on previous owners. Dealer told me the last owner had passed away. I did recently find an old receipt stashed in a very odd spot that has the name Tom Wong from a Sears in Annapolis, MD. Perhaps that name rings a bell with someone here?

Here is picking it up from the dealership with my girlfriend. It was in desperate need of a wash!

Door sill cover that is on both driver and passenger sides.

First car show!

This was at an annual picnic outing with North Virginia Corvette Club and Old Dominion Corvette Club. I am a member of both. On this particular outing I was the only C4!

Recent pic after waxing it. Paint is not perfect, but it does clean up well. I plan to have two of my panels repainted soon to fix the most glaring issues.

These were from when I picked it up at the dealer. I have cleaned it up a bit since then, but I don't have anything very recent.

That is interesting, I wasn't aware they weren't stock. There has been a few small things I have noticed like that. For instance the center console cover:

Also some not so subtle things, like the shifter and stereo

It is a fairly modified car for sure. Everything works though! It was definitely well loved.

I've signed up for it and requested time off. The only potential snag is my appointment with Haibeck could end up occurring around that time.

Thank for engine pictures

I have seen two PIAA horns! I had never seen that brand making horns for our ZR-1.

Very good unit you have found, congratulations again

So the car is currently getting the Haibeck treatment. I got a message from him last Friday that my spot had opened up. That night I turned in early, got up at 1AM and drove about 11.5 hours to get there, encountering a blizzard as I came through Indiana. There was a little bit of a pucker factor forming as I saw snow starting to build on the road but I got past it before it became a real concern. Car drove great, but by the end I was really feeling all the pressure points on that seat haha!

It is said often on these forums, but I must echo the sentiment as well: He is truly a master at his craft. With one short test drive and simply observing what was under the hood he was rattling off a whole list of items he was seeing that I had no idea about.

Since working on the car he has continued to find things of interest.

Top of that list is that my engine is not original to my car. It is from '91 #1981, and was built out by Lingenfelter. It raises so many questions for me that I know I will never have answered. I'm just going to assume that at some point the original motor blew up and was replaced by this one. Absolutely no timeframe on when that could have happened.

Other fun facts that are much more tame:
My Hurst short throw shifter is actually a B&M Shifter with a Hurst knob on it. "10% shorter throw than a Hurst" according to Marc.

Headers are the original offering from Watson Engineering, which produced the first aftermarket headers for the ZR-1, primarily meant for race teams.

I have the dubious honor of presenting Marc with a failure he has never seen before. The switch for my fog lights failed, only activating for as long as the button was depressed.

Years prior someone had bought a rebuilt ECU for the car. Marc was the person that had rebuilt it.

My car was listed in his copy of the 2001 registry, owned at the time by a Paul Brown of Pittsford, NY

My wheels are actual GM A-Molds and not aftermarket.

I also brought to Marc's attention that the material on the driver side door armrest is slightly different than the passenger side. The passenger side has a more leathery look to it while the driver side is more of a mat plastic. He claimed he had never noticed that, and double checked on another car in the garage that was all original to verify it wasn't something that had been changed. It did indeed come from the factory like that. My 0.0001% contribution to his knowledge of the ZR1.
