1990 fog lights
Bought a set of HID fog lights from "Vette Lights"
First it says unscrew the access panel, there is none on a 1990. Secondly, there does not appear to be a connector close to the light. Seems like I'll have to tear half the harness apart. Suggestions? |

The access panel is for the 91-96 bumpers. You should be able to access fogs from behind.

Re: 1990 fog lights
90 access is under hood next to the air box.. you will need to get creative to mount correctly

Thanks guys, found access to the bulbs, looks like wiring may have to be creative.

Re: 1990 fog lights
Steve,
If these are the same as my HIDs, you should be able to adapt stick harness connector rather than just use spades and electrical tape. You need to push pins out of harness connector for use with ballast.

Re: 1990 fog lights
Dom, everything is plug and play, except the weather pack is hooked to a long connector because there is no direct access to the bulb. You can't reach your fingers in far enough to twist the bulb without the extender. The OEM bulb has the weather pack plugged directly onto it, this new one does not.

Re: 1990 fog lights
Steve,
This is the harness connector that can use the spades prongs from the kit. I was able to use the weatherpak connector from the kit and use the OEM spades going to the ballast.

Re: 1990 fog lights
Lights are in. I had to make up a special tool to reach in and twist the bulb, there is no way to reach it with your fingers. It's almost dark here, I'll pull the car out in a bit and see if they were worth the effort. With making tools, broke the first two, I must be four hours into it. Wiring was plug and play, but the wires were short enough I did plug them in using the brail method
