rear hatch operation 1990
I have been working part time at South Georgia Corvette an came across a
trouble with a early 1990 where the rear hatch won't open unless you set the parking brake ( car not running or running). open door and hit the switch (door or switch in consol) hatch won't open set parking brake and hatch opens. My 1990 ZR-1 # 2546, hatch will open without setting parking brake. So if have trouble opening your rear hatch, set parking brake. This only happened on this early 1990 ZR-1. Re: rear hatch operation 1990
Mine's #545 and I've been up there a couple of times, even met you up there on at least 2 occasions. I have no problem with my rear hatch opening anytime I hit the button. I can't think of how these would be related but thanks for the tip if it ever happens, I'll try it. See you next time.

Update on rear hatch opening
I checked the 1990 ZR-1 Black/Black and its number is 0047 with steel half shafts. So to open hatch on this car set parking brake, press door or console buttons will open rear hatch. John White/Black # 2546 one of a few ZR-1's with a 4L8OE auto. |
