Since the white stuff is piling up around us, I figured it's time to start the winter mods soon. I'm going to pull the motor to clean everything and port the heads, intake, injector housings, do the coolant bypass, headers, and a different catback to start. I've been reading a ton of posts but didn't see about the gaskets. Do you buy the gaskets oversized already or do you have to trim them? Is the throttle something to send out to have oversized as well? Most likely going to order the top end overhaul from Jerry's in a few days. I'd love to do the cams and was thinking about them since it's out but hard to get a idea on cost with the 4 cams and lifters. I've seen some regrinds for the $14-1600 range. What options are out there? Don't want to go to crazy yet..... maybe stroke it in a few years. I love the 397 I built in the GS. Thanks!!

Our gaskets have increased ports diameters which will eliminate the need for trimming if the port work matches the gaskets. It is recommended to use the gasket as a template.
Plenum Gaskets: read about port size http://www.jerrysgaskets.com/gasket-...64-90-95-11d3/ Injector Housing Gaskets :read about port size http://www.jerrysgaskets.com/gasket-...ng-90-95-11d4/ Depending on the port work style performed, if the bifurcation between the ports is removed, its a simple matter to use a pair of scissors to cut out the gasket center section with a straight cut tangent to the port o.d. of both ports.

If you are interested in cams, I would suggest:
1. Drive a ZR with that mod 2. Talk to Pete. |

Started to pull it apart today. Pulled the trans, clutch, cats, most of the top end. Found the vacuum line was disconnected and capped for the fuel pressure regulator by po? All the lines under the intake look good, Few more than the LT4
