ZR1 color question
Z Factor
I have seen a Copper Metallic Corvette that looked pretty sharp. I was wondering if they made any ZR1's with this unusual factory color?(Edited by Z Factor at 10:20 am on Dec. 30, 2002) |

Well I'm not sure what that means Wegone. If they were made for VIP's or some such person, they would have a record somewhere wouldn't they? Further, those cars that were special, like the only convertible ZR1 will make it to the public market sooner or later right? |

InterestingSo is it a total mystery, or does someone have the info somewhere? I mean if I owned one of these rare Z's, I'd want some way to prove it was original if I ever went to sell it (then again, I doubt that I would sell one if they were that rare). |

From what I was told 1 was made but never sold to the public. I have never seen one or heard of anyone else ever seeing one.

It makes you wonder what happens to these cars. Obviously they are somewhere, but where? If they were in a museum, then someone would know about it. So maybe some GM guy has it in his garage, but sooner or later it will be passed down, or sold to the public. Just like the only known ZR1 convertible. I saw a picture of it, and funny enough it has a trailer hitch, with a matching small trailer. When that becomes available some day, it will be worth mega bucks. |

Well I can add this as well, we have a complete list from the GM database of every color ZR-1 built in '94 and there is no copper:http://zr1.net/1994ZR1ProductionData.htmlIt might have been a pilot car. As you know the reason they didn't make many copper vettes was because the color was very hard to do.
