Airbag light malfunction? - ZR-1 Net Registry Forums

Hi guys,

I was travelling between cities for the last few days and had a few weird occurrences on the highway. While driving at a high speed, suddenly a red airbag light comes on. It didn't go away until I actually stopped, turned the engine off and then on again. It hasn't happened before but already three times recently. Nothing has been changed in my car.
What the hell is going on?

What year? If it is a 90, the airbag sensor grounds become corroded . One is located on each frame rail, one under battery tray, other is under heater box. Neither aweful bad to access. Remove sensor, scuff and sand the metal beneath each sensor and bolt, I used some die-electric grease on mine.

Corvette95 is right on the only pain is resetting it once the grounds are cleaned...
