P8Y084 found.
George you missed that the guy that had the active cars also had the complete drivetrain for EX5011. When he did the roadster in 89-90 GM sent him a rolling tub that was in fact 88 ptype EX5011 and included all the wheels with the 'not for sale' 315 tires on the rear. He moved to the east coast and had phase 02 short block with a production heads injector housing and plenum for sale here at Carlisle with a prototype sign on it. Someone told me about so I went and took a look. After looking at it and talking to him about whereof came from I bought everything he had for 13,000 to be delivered to turkey rod run. The car was running when he got it. After he got the car built GM sent a production drive train to put in the car and he kept the ptype drive train and wheels. One of the rear wheels has the P8Y084 written on it. The motor is s/n LT5 058. I will be putting this drive train in Queenie since it is a real complete setup and the only documented ZF operational 6 sped.
Tyler Note: The correct P number is P8Y084 and motor s/n is 58. It was late and I had a senior moment.

TT, boy I have a hard time keeping track of all the numbers. I am guessing that this is the car we are talking about. Do you know anyone who would want the rear end? See attachements. George

Re: P8Y083 found.
I saw the wheels on a car out here in Long Beach. Met the owner and we discussed the car, even bought a few old hoses off him. for the car. So not sure we are talking he same car. George

Re: P8Y083 found.
The sticker on the wheel is a LTPWS of some sorts. There is a brand name on it. Maybe GM was doing some vendor testing in 87 for this option????

Re: P8Y083 found.
Its the equlivant to a 1987/88 laptop. The unit was used for in car testing of calibrations by Geoff Jeal while at LOTUS.

Re: P8Y083 found.
I want some of those blank cam covers - they would polish up sweet. Shame they are matched to the heads.
There are lots of subtle differences on that engine when you look closely. Matt |
