Default Saw a photo long ago of a C4 corvette with a roll bar style brace over the engine ??

I saw this photo many years ago. I know I have it saved to my home desktop somewhere but Im sure it was a c4 in japan. Not sure if it was a zr-1 or LT1 car but anyone from Japan have any knowledge of a car that has a brace that surrounds the engine? If my memory serves me correct it was red, and was a tube style brace. I have been brainstorming for years how to tie stuff together up front .

Yes, I know of one guy that had the brace you are talking about and it was custom built. The car was black with the 380? cubed LT5. He has since sold the car and drives a Yellow C6 Z06. He is from Tokyo area. I saw it in 2008 and I asked about it when I met him, but it was not available to be bought or made at the time.

You are very welcome. I thought it was pretty slick when I saw it and was impressed at the ingenuity of a lot of the Z owners or shops in Japan. A lot of creative carbon fiber work too. Good luck with your project.

My idea is different. Not as effective but I think it would help a little bit and not look like that .. I wouldn't leave my garage with that thing on my roof !!
