Wheel Decals
For those who don't know this, GM still has the decals that warn about damaging the sensors when removing the wheels. I bought mine at GMPartsDirect.com for about $11 each. When I had my car judged I lost 1 point for each missing sticker. There was only one car that had the stickers.
If your better half (whatever that may be) gripes about the money and time invested in your garage queen, try this tip. When my car was being judged I was judging 70 to 72's. I had my wife stand in and go through the judging in my place. She thought it was the neatest thing and now is really cranked up about taking the car to the next level (PV). Jim |

Re: Wheel Decals
It's kind of funny, about 6 years ago I needed these and GM still had them. I checked my reciept book and sure enough they were $3.10 each when I bought mine. GM Parts Direct is probably pulling them out of Vintage Parts stock now.

Re: Wheel Decals
I believe it is only the 91 and newer wheel labels that are available. The 1990's are a different part # and they are printed on a radius.

Re: Wheel Decals
Here is what I understand about the wheel decals. The 1990 MY used GM#10074342 which were printed on a radius. The type face used was more "Bold" than the 91-96 labels. The MY 91 to 96 used two different labels GM#10180847 on the front rims and GM#10180848 on the rear rims. I believe GM is still producing them both. They are on the PartsZoneOnline website for 12.69 each. Corvette Central sells them for 16.95 each last I checked.
The thing about the 91 to 96 versions is they are printed in a straight line so getting them to look correct on your car is quite a job. I had them on my 1990 for a regional event and was hit with both originality and condition points. For NCRS purposes they (the newer labels) would get a deduct on originality, But the amount of points would most likely vary based on the experience of the judge and the level of the meet. Hope this helps, John |
