Default clutch fluid empty overnight

My question is why? I hadnt driven the car in about 3 weeks, i started it and noticed the clutch was a little soft...so I found the reservoir to be a bit low, so topped it off. I then went for a short drive across town and back again when i parked it until the next afternoon when I wanted to drive it some more. I went to start it and this time the clutch was completely dead...straight to the floor. I open the reservoir and it is empty....and a large puddle of fluid is on the floor. I changed clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder about a year ago and havent had an issue until now. I did top it off this spring after it sat the winter...although I did take it out in January when it was about 4 degrees and everything was great for the 90 mile excursion. Anyway, I've rambled enough....please let me know if this is a m/c or s/c defect or something else. Thank you in advance.

i'm thinking it might be the line....the puddle is directly below where the back of the oil pan and front of tranny meet. I need to get under there and investigate more.
