Crank Shaft Rear Seal Replacement Get Together
Come on down this Sunday, Aug 9th. Darrin, David and I will be replacing the crank shaft rear seal and clutch on my 1993 ZR-1. We start at 0900 (9:00am). Everyone is invited.
I am in Westminster, Maryland. Any and all assistance and supervision will be appreciated. Pizza and beer! I will eMail directions to anyone that needs them. (Approx 1.5 hour drive from Fairfax, VA) Following the repair, there will be a group test drive on some of my favorite country roads. Upcoming events include a rear spring replacement for Darrin, a transmission, clutch, and exhaust swap for the 1990, and a differential rebuild for the 1994.

I'm gonna put that on my things-to-do list and I promise to bring along my wise & mature "hmmmm" commentary as I stare at what you guys are doing...
At least we can discuss what I'm going to need to do to get the Ruby ready for NCRS judging...I signed up for the Mason/Dixon Oct. 25th meeting. Looking forward to seeing you guys |

ZRGator, Glad to hear that you will be stopping by. I am expecting a good group of "supervisors".

It doesn't matter if you do it right or wrong, as long as you look good doing it.

Re: Crank Shaft Rear Seal Replacement Get Together
The cracked/splintered part of Darrin's rear leaf spring was pretty well hidden until we removed the exhaust system to get to the clutch. Since you have been having ride height difference problems, I thought of your car when we saw what the conditions of Darrin's is. I wonder if you have a similar problem with your rear spring and it causes a droop in one side.
It might be worth checking out. Jim |

Where does Marc H. get his glass springs from, you guys know? Vette Brakes maybe? Always found there stuff to be great, either Corvette or Camaro F-Glass springs.
