Crankshaft plug...
Well, I was not aware of the crankshaft plug until after I made several attempts to removal the pilot bearing. Needless to say I am alittle worried about the possibility of oil starvation now. I can see the plug is in place, but I am hearing the margin for error is 1/4".
1)any way to know if damage was done? Measurements, etc 2)replacement procedure?

Re: Crankshaft plug...
Was thinking of measuring with a dial gauge on my spare crank and comparing to the one in the car.

Re: Crankshaft plug...
Does the field service manual have the depth listed? It does for the LS6

Re: Crankshaft plug...
Spoke to Marc Haibeck, needs to be pushed in 1/2" before it interfers with oiling. I will pull the Pilot and check proper sealing
