Default Hurst Shifter Installation

Started my Hurst Shifter installation today. I will be ready to remove the gear shift rod pin tomorrow, any suggestions? I have heard this can be a real pain in the a$$.

If you can contact John (phrogs) he put an awesome "how to" post up with pictures and I followed it to do mine with ease. I tried to search for it and could not find it. Try to PM him so he can tell you the link. Maybe he put in on the "other" forum.

Well, I got the shifter in after busting my knuckles a few times and excercising my four letter vocabulary The worst part of the installation for me was wrestling with that stupid rubber boot and the getting that "C" clip clear of pin. The pin itself came out real easy, just a couple of wacks with the hammer and out she came. Thanks again for the direction

Rich
