Question Re: Replacement oil drain plug?

I've been looking for a magnetic drain plug, G.M. &/or aftermarket with no luck...., .6250"-18 (five-eights) thread. Anybody have a source ? Not like making them is hard, but it does take a little time.

I've sent some contact information directly to you!

Last fall Joe Johnson (www.magdana.com) released the "Dimple" a magnetic plug and became a supporting vendor on the Corvette Forum. The early production information for the LT5 included in their initial release specified a "metric" application and I was quite "convinced" from earlier experiences that the application note was an "error". Joe contacted me after I had posted that the fit was certainly 5/8 - 18 vs the metric specification and they after confirmation from my "fit" and more research corrected their application to the 5/8 -18. They accomplished this in a couple/few days - a responsible move.

Joe also sent me a "Dimple" to confirm the fit. I did the "fit" on a new LT5 pan along with a new GM LT5 plug that I've a few of. Both seem to be of equal fit.

A few weeks ago Joe sent me a second "Dimple" which is a new release for them that does the LT5 with a "larger magnet"!

I've mentioned the product to several for applications other than the LT5 also. I know of no-one that is unhappy with Joe's product. The early "Dimple" had a 6.25mm diameter magnet and the newer release is 12.5mm in diameter.

The product is available from:

"VetteMed" --- I do still have a few of the GM original "drain plugs"! I've answered your PM!
