Kinsler carbon fiber cross ram intake
Pretty much a stock LS7...Kinsler IR intake, Katech Torquer cam, new valve springs, retainers, Lemons' headers with 2" primaries, and a BS3 ECM. Normally this motor makes 610hp at the crank before adding a Kinsler intake. Peak torque 638/fwhp 667.

Re: Kinsler carbon fiber cross ram intake
IMO Those big headers help that curve out a bit. Also IMO (FWIW) that MAY not be a 427 engine. The Tq curve appears to be that of a bigger inch engine.

Re: Kinsler carbon fiber cross ram intake
Frank,
I know what you mean about the dyno #'s. But I just saw a real 491 fwhp from a street/track 323! (LS 5.3L). Those LS motors make power so relatively easy its freaky. Anyways, the LS7 went into this car. A fellow named Stuart Hayim is the customer. I'm guessing the same fellow that owns the car dealerships. I remember when Jim Kinsler first showed that intake, he guessed it would be worth 50 hp on a LS7. It was on his. And this one. Better pics are being saved for a feature in Camaro Performers magazine.

Re: Kinsler carbon fiber cross ram intake
Really? That seems incredibly dramatic to lose 70 lb-ft over a 100rpm window. Wow!
