Default R&D Cross Frame

Has anyone installed the R&D Cross Frame on your Z? http://www.r-dracing.com/CROSS-FRAME.htm If so did it have a dent in it where the cutout is on the open center cross bar? Is It possible to get some pictures of the front 2" of both bars installed? or not installed? I purchased one I want to install on my 90, it has a large dent on one piece and I am wondering if it is supposed to be there for a ZR-1 or not....might be damage or might be for another C4.

If you have a lowered car, this piece is not for you. You will be setting off sparks everywhere.

My car isn't lowered but it does look like it could be a pain on curbs ect. 1" lower is all it is supposed to be and 1" on a car as low as these is alot.

I had to take mine off for street. Way too low. It does work, after you flatten the hell out of it to get it to fit your car.

Is your car lowered? I want to tighten the car up, they just flex a little too much with the top off. I thought about a factory vert X brace but saw this one and it looks much beefier. If I'm not mistaken there are factory bolt holes for the vert X brace in the frame. Did your R&D brace have a dent in it when new? The R&D dosen't bolt together in the center where they cross which seems odd to me. What about the R&D Camber Brace...does it help with flex?

Yes, my car is 1-1.5 lower. The brace has a dent in it for lt-1 cars, Did not fit LT-5 car. I put it in a press and smashed it flat were it needed to be. Factory holes in front, drill rears.
I never have installed the camber brace, someday maybe.
