ZF6 Trade
Hello everyone,
I am currently swapping out my LT5 for a Gen 1 SBC and would like trade my ZR1's ZF6 for an LT1 ZF6. My ZF is a black label form a 1990 ZR1 with about 30,000 miles. It is completely cherry, no problems, noises, clunking, etc. Shifting is solid and precise and the box has been filled with the M5 syntheitc oil for the span of its life with me. The previous owner still had the original factory fluid in it when I aquired the car. My ZF6 has never been in an accident and the case is perfect. The only problem is that the input shaft and release bearing tube are too long for the Gen 1. If anyone has a spare ZF6 from an LT1 C4 that is of equal quality and condition, then I would like to offer an exchange. Anyone interested?

His LT5 had problems so he took it out, fixed it and put it back in. Over and over again. Here's where it starts: http://www.zr1netregistry.com/forum/...ead.php?t=1832 Eventually he sold off the LT5 and is in the process of installing a gen 1 stroker. TomC

My # is 912 398 5333. Call me whenever. 24 Hrs a day is good when it comes to car stuff.
Yeah my LT5 adventure has been completely miserable. My car was a complete basket case when I got it for free. Yes, free, thats how badly it was neglected. & Neglect was really the only thing that the previous owner did to it. Hes not a philanthropist type either. Quite miserly in fact, but he tried to trade @ Toyota for a Camry and they wouldn't even give 2K for the car. I think thats why I he gave it to me, he couldn't bare the thought of taking a financial hit like that, but if he gave it to charity....all is good with his soul. I could care less about ditching the LT5 so long as its replacement has more output, and that I will ensure. Nothing in this world makes cheap HP like a SBC. Ive intentionally stayed away from the gen 1 all my life cause I always thought they looked ugly but at this point in time its just the easiest solution.

Re: ZF6 Trade
Ill keep the badge, who knows, maybe one day far far in the future ZR1s will be worth tons of $$$. In that event Ill ditch the 406 roller for a LT5. I Dont see that happening anytime soon though, so until then Ill just drive it as originally intended.

Re: ZF6 Trade
I cant say I dont absolutely love the 335 series tires, narrow body is for small tire types.
