South Texas ZR-1 BBQ and Gathering in New Braunfels
Back by popular demand after a 4-year hiatus:
Oct 3 (Fri) is test and tune night at the local dragstrip - run or watch - arrive about 7:00 pm http://sanantonioraceway.com/schedule.htm Oct 4 (Sat) at Corey Henderson's shop for dyno runs beginning at 9:30 am. Two pulls for $40, no tuning, first come first served. http://www.hendersonperformance.com Oct 4 - shopping excursion to the San Marcos Prime and Tanger Factory Outlet Malls for the women folk led by Mary (my wife). Carpool from our house - we will have extra vehicles for those who need a ride. 9:30 am (negotiable) Oct 4 - 3:00 pm until ?? at our house for BBQ and drinks; 595 Timber Ridge about 5 miles from Corey's shop. BYOB, we'll provide the food and ice chests. Oct 4 - late pm - cart racing at Crocodile Gap if there's anyone left standing (optional). Oct 5 (Sun) mid-morning - caravan to the Pacific War Museum in Fredricksburg, and thence to Luckenbach for a cold Shiner beer. Round trip = about 200 miles through the hill country. Total round trip time about 8 hours. Overnight lodging - google "new braunfels lodging" for a sample of the local accommodations. Sorry, I don't have any recommendations. Mary has consulted the Farmer's Almanac and no rain is "planned" for that entire week ... we can only hope. Pass the word to any ZR-1 owners who may not be on the 'net or forum. RSVP to breitung@att.net so I can keep an accurate headcount for the food. Cheers, Glenn 91-1341

Re: South Texas ZR-1 BBQ and Gathering in New Braunfels
October is getting closer by the day. It's been a while since the last Texas Gathering and this one promises to be even better than the last. Maybe even Milstead will come out if we bait him with a six pack of "Old Hooky". Marc R., you in? All you younger guys (hey, that includes me), come on by to see everything from perfect stock ZR-1s, higher mileage cars, bored 368s, and the best of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering including a couple 385s, 415s, some of the 4 twin turbos. Drag racing at Alamo City Dragway, dyno runs at Henderson Performance Technology. The barbeque and hospitality will be fantastic and desert is to die for. The clock is ticking...tick tock tick tock.

Third and last call. We're up to over 40 people so far so this should
be a fun weekend. If you're planning on coming and have not yet RSVPed, please e-mail me at breitung@att.net Glenn

Wow, the date is almost here! The weather is getting really nice, too. Not sure my 385 will be ready in time, but still hopeful. The backup plan is to bring the LPE415 and so I need to order a couple of new rear tires for it just in case. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Two turqs at the same place, same time??? All we need now is for Misled to make an appearance with his turq. Marc, see if you can get him to come!
