Byron Dates
Patiently I spent all winter porting my intake, mostly with a Dremel which is akin to digging your way out of prison with a spoon, and now I am waiting for the first Byron test and tune so that I can best my 12.54 from last year.
So whats the ETA on a track day here in Il? Pete I know you saw my handy work on the plenum and are probably running alittle scared at this point, but I promise not to spank you too bad(this is called baiting ) Dominic, Hans, Don, Jeff, PAul, Al, ..........anyone interested in going this month? Anyhow, fired up and ready to see how it runs. LGAFF 92 ZR1 #234 |

Re: Byron Dates
Jeff-This month...no, maybe October...I need to at least DRIVE my car a bit first.
Drive it a bit to the track, and then drive it a bit down the 1/4 mile. LGAFF 91 ZR1 #234 |

I see y'all go Byron to run. Is the Route 66 track too expensive or ???? It is a lot closer than IN (south of Joliet on - IL 53 (old US-66)). The reason I mention it is b/c they have scheduled "Test and Tune" days on a semi-regular basis during the summer months. From what I understand, it is a "come one, come all" format. I have a good friend that works there and I can get the particulars, if that should interest anyone. (Forgive my ignorance re the "66" track, as I've never looked into running there up to now.) P. Re: Byron Dates
Planning on a Byron run tomorrow if the weather is nice....ran the car today, peeked between the runners, secondaries are opening, etc
Only issue is a high idle, no vac leaks, appears throttle cable or throttle bodies are sticking alittle and not letting the blades close all the way. A small tap and it goes back down to 750rpm. LGAFF 92 ZR1 #234 |
