Night and Day difference!!
Just got back from taking Girlfriend for her maiden voyage around the block with the new transmission.
My black label growled and vibrated in first and second gear. It was rough and tough and sounded like something out of an old Nascar race car. It was cool, but kind of uncivilized. This new blue label is as smooth and as quiet as silk. I am amazed. The shifting seems to be similar to my old one, maybe not as smooth, probably just needs to be broke in. Wow. Just Wow. TomC

I'll work on it later. I'll probably wind up just grinding it to fit the slot. Bill B. says he has more of them if I ever want to rebuild and re-use my black tag. But to be honest, after hearing and feeling the new blue tag I don't think I'll be going back to it. Is there a break-in procedure other than taking it easy for the first hundred or so miles? Thanks for all you help, Jeff. You're the greatest. Tom

Glad to hear that all the work has turned out in your favor, Tom!
That must have been fun without a lift & air tools! My hat's off to ya!
