Default Dymags: which color

Once the plenum is done I am going to clean up my dymags which includes a refinish:

Not sure if I should keep them as purchased:

or refinish to the original silver:

Opinions?

The darker color will make them stand apart a little more from the typical A Molds and make your car a little more unique. What color is your car? It's not the one in the avatar, is it?

Have you thought about white... I think that would look sick and accent the white on the rest of the car. Unless white is not good for racing wheels... I wouldn't know.

There was a long discussion I believe over at Corvette Action Center regarding finishing DyMags. What I got out of the conversation was that it's quite a detailed job to get them done. There is a shop in New England that specializes in wheel repair and folks from all over the world send their (quite) pricey rims to them for restoration / correction. I'll see if I can dig up the threads if you're still interested in putting them back to the original which, in my opinion, looks much much better.
