couple a quick ?'s
First, why does my LTPWS light come on everytime I drive for a little while? I dont have any air loss in any tire.
Second, does anyone know a part number for the reverse light switch on the ZF.........I assume it would be the same as a regular C4 with the ZF, but I want to double check that. TIA |

Re: couple a quick ?'s
LTPWS is garbage. My suggestion is to pull them out as they are a hazard when driving at speed. But more than likely the power generator is going out on it.

Correct, it's a pain to get out.

Should I expect my local GM dealer to have this? |

Re: couple a quick ?'s
I would not expect them to. The Reno warehouse shows 2 in stock and the LA warehouse shows 6 available.

Re: couple a quick ?'s
FYI, I ordered the switch from Bill B, and he sent along a tool he'd fabbed up. Worked like a charm, and I shipped him the tool back along with a check.

Thanks, Jason

Re: couple a quick ?'s
It was just a box wrench only he like welded on another box wrench head IIRC, so it was deeper.

Re: couple a quick ?'s
Does the Service LTPWS light come on after a couple miles every time you take the car out?
If so, then one of the tire sensors is bad. It also could be the receiving unit is bad, but thats a small chance. You can check the codes by jumping pins AB on the ALDL connector and counting the flashes of the light, just like the SES light. But you cant clear codes from the LTPWS light by removing battery power, only by shorting the AB pins 3 times in 10 seconds. Very tricky, but it does work if you're persitent. If there are stored codes, that pesky LTPWS light comes on even when the system is working correctly. |
