Default Horn problem.

Hi guys! I have a problem with the horn. When you push the buttons while you are driving, horn does not work. But, when you stop the car and you take off the key and lock the steering wheel, the horn works perfectly with buttons.

Because of that, I understand that buttons are working well and horn relay too. Even so, I check with TECH1 the horn relay and it's perfect. I can play horn with TECH1 directly.

I think that the problem is in the spring that secure contact between wires from buttons to SIR Coil.

Any advice to check the steering wheel connections? Anybody with the same problem? I want to check it next weekend...

Thanks in advance!!

Hi! Last tuesday I checked the horn and the problem is in the spring that secure contact between wires from buttons to SIR Coil. The main guide has the retainer broken and the spring jump out and it is not contact.

I'm trying to make a mold with paper first, to make one new piece with an old CDROM after, that will hold the spring in place fixed with two bolts to the steering wheel removal holes.

At the moment I've put adhesive tape to secure the spring in place while I'm looking for exact bolts and finish the CDROM-mold.

Here you have some pictures to help other owners with the same problem

After that, behind steering wheel are two torx bolts that secure airbag in place:

After that you can see the wire with spring out of its housing

I checked switch contacts and found one plastic pin broken... I had to repair it.

Contacts were in perfect conditions.
