Dump valve Exhaust project
Step (1) cut apart a perfectly good Billy Boat fusion exhaust system and pray you made the right decision....Screenshot_20220502-065620_Photos.jpgScreenshot_20220502-074024_Photos.jpg20220509_185929.jpg20220509_195648.jpg20220510_211941.jpg20220512_123413.jpg

Re: Dump valve Exhaust project
Looks great--I did something similar on my '95. I wanted a stock exhaust for the appearance and lack of drone, but with cutouts to have an open exhaust when I wanted it. I usd QTP electric cutouts and hid a rocker switch under the carpet on the passenger side of the console. Located the cutouts right in front of the mufflers to preserve the spare tire carrier. Either your way or mine works well. --Bob

In 216 I had power effects exhaust system and a friend waned it for his car. I told him give me some time to fab up a new system. Long story I got a used LT1 exhaust system, added dual dumps with QTP electric ( I removed the spare tire assembly as I run a transmission cooler in that location). Have been running this setup since mid 2016, I get good comments from everyone who sees and hears it. John 1990 white/black # 2546 one of a few 4l8OE QE ZR-1"s |

I'm going with the full wireless module set up. Super small, smaller than a pack of cigarettes really concealable. Just needs 12V and a ground and comes with two key fobs.20220519_195731.jpg

Re: Dump valve Exhaust project
When I tried to adapt the Mild to Wild setup for my Z06 NPP valves, I ran into an interesting anomaly. If I fed power to the vacuum solenoid from 12v battery, the system worked. However if I fed power from the car?s electrical system, it would not work. The only thing I could come up w was that the vehicle electrical system somehow interfered w the wireless signal. Ultimately, I just ran wires to the back where the solenoid is located and a rocker switch in the console cup holder.
