Looking for advice as to how to remove the secondary valve shaft seals from the heads.
I can't figure out how to get behind them to drive/pry them out. Thanks.

I tried using a scribe to get between the head and the seal. Broke 2 of them. Really trying to not damage the aluminum in the bore.
I need a sharper/harder tool..... Sent from my Pixel 4a (5G) using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app

I fashioned a make-shift puller. With an 8-point socket just big enough to span the bearing, a bolt through a fender washer and socket and the bearing with a nut threaded on the end (back of the bearing), and another nut on top of the fender washer. I screwed down the nut against the washer. The bolt pulled the bearings out - easy peasy!
Then I pressed in a Dorman freeze plug with a little JB Weld to seal the hole. If I still have the little rig, I'll snap a pic and post it. - Pretty simple tho - a #6 machine screw about 2-1/2" long, a socket, a fender washer, & a couple of nuts. |

Getting the Shaft and bearing out was the easy part.
Getting the seal behind the bearing out is where I'm at. (Unless I misunderstood your explanation) Sent from my Pixel 4a (5G) using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app

They will pry out with a flat blade screwdriver. Forget about trying to save the lip seal though.

Did you remove all the bearings? Curious if you have any pictures of the process. I am looking to do this in a few months.
