Default Picture of lug extension socket and clip located inside the console

I started this thread on the general ZR-1 Corvette Forum and it was suggested that it belongs here. I agree. The Question I posed was about the lug extension socket and clip (strap) holding it inside the console. I have a 91 Z but it does not have a clip or strap for the lug extension. Can someone who has the proper clip post a picture of their console interior showing the hold down with the lug attached ? Thanks.

Greg

Thanks for the pic. I guess the next question is did all Z's get this treatment from the factory ?? It seems maybe some years did not come with hold downs. Maybe the nuisance factor made owners remove the clips and straps but I am not sure that is consistent with picky ZR-1 owners who most of us are..

All I can tell you is that I bought my ZR-1 from the original owner and he was not the type of do any mods or worry about adding things to it for shows. Needless to say I did not add the clip either.

I have a picture in my owners manual and it looks the same as the clip in my console. As a matter of fact you can see the clip in a factory picture by looking in the 1990 owners manual. There are pictures in the "if the tire goes flat section" showing the wheel lock key and clip on page 266. The is also a picture of it in the "other useful features" section under "removable roof panel" on pages 147 & 155 where it shows the ratchet, and retaining clip along with the wheel lock key and clip.
Strangely enough there is not a picture of the wheel lock key, metal clip, or the ratchet on page 159 in the section describing the center storage console.

My 90, #843 with 730 miles on it, Looks exactly like the one that Z Factor posted (except for the red screwdriver), and I am pretty sure that it is original I bought it from the original owner, and she said that what I got with the car was what came with it. The clip is even mounted at an angle like his. My car came with a sleeve for the lug nut locking socket, the socket, and the tire gauge, but not the extension. The car also doesn't have the warranty plate with the name embossed on it.
