Default Cosmetically Converting a 90 Into a 91+

No, I?m not thinking of doing it. But I?ve seen it done a few times, and was curious what?s involved. The big difference seems to be the front nose and the rub strips. Was more done also? Are there things I?m missing?

Enquiring minds want to know!

My '90 that I recently bought has had this conversion done, and I love the look! While I did not complete the conversion, i'd be happy to take any pics that you may need or check anything.

Yours was actually what inspired me to ask the question.

Yes, pics would be great. Especially of the more challenging areas.

MY 90 Auto was done before I bought It. The PO hated the black rubber body line and wanted to refresh the look on his car. You see folks faces when I tell em its a 90 lol

Having read through this thread a few times I have only one question. Why in the world would one change the look of a '90 to match that of a '91? One can buy a '91 for essentially the same price as a '90 without the need to spend more money. Plus you would get some design/engineering improvements along with it. Just curious... Bob

Door trim the same for all 91-96 Corvettes but short dogleg trim is ZR-1 specific.

The biggest problem I ran into ( am I not a zip tie kind of person) is to mount ( in a correct and factory looking way) the front evap canister and purge solenoid on the new front bumper bar which has a different design not meant for the evap canister in front.

So how did you sort that out?
