Re: F/S Fly Wheel
Wen"t with a Fidanza, made getting off the line very tricky but I like the way the motor revs up so quick.

Z Factor,
Thanks for the welcome. I am buying zipz 92. Should have it next week. If anyone needs some pointers on tuning, let me know. |

Re: F/S Fly Wheel
Yes ,That GN is such a fine example of those cars. When I see it at car shows it makes me want one again. I don't know Bruce by name just his smiling face My buddy has a ultra rare 1984 GN ,it was the first year Buick offered the GN package as a option even has a bench seat what a sleeper.
Oh the rattel yea ya can hear it I just push the clutch in if I don't want to hear it ,I like to let it rattel if a kid is beside me at a red light just to mess with them...

Re: F/S Fly Wheel
USA1,
Unfortunately we got word on Monday that Bruce passed over the weekend. He was one of the great pioneers of today's amateur tuning hobby. He will be terribly missed in that community and others. He was my inspiration for taking my 84 Xfire and building it into a 13sec car using the much maligned Xfire manifold and twin TBI setup. Bruce had done it in the mid-90's just to show everyone it could be done. That's the way he was. |

Re: F/S Fly Wheel
USA,
What about the ZF rattle with a SM FW? I have a Fidanza that I used when I did the ZF-6 TRANS-plant on my 84 Xfire. It rattles a bit at idle. And yes it makes launches tricky particularly with torquey motor but it does like to rev quickly. BTW, I've been to Greenville several times visiting a friend from the Thirdgen Forum. Did you know Bruce Plecan? He lived in Arcanum. Drove a very hot GN. |
