Seat track stud twisted off 😫
Driver side right rear seat track stud twisted off flush with carpet. Sheesh and I was only using a 3/8 ratchet with long extensions. No cheater bar even. Need suggestions for a repair. Don’t these things seem to happen when working on someone else’s car? And a Z undergoing NCRS certification too!

Re: Seat track stud twisted off 😫
I’m sure you know this but for NCRS I’d be more concerned with the ‘head’ of the stud as it protrudes through the floorpan, is sealed with an epoxy-ish, & is painted over.
So, I have no good advice. Ted |

Re: Seat track stud twisted off 😫
Seriously doubt they‘d even notice?
If they did, 1 point? I‘d be more concerned (but not much more...) about the safety aspect of the seat not being fastened to the car correctly. For looks, you could carefully epoxy the stud and nut you twisted off back in place. I‘m sure, if, in the unlikely event they do look at it, they won‘t look too close? So much for the safety aspect... |

Re: Seat track stud twisted off 😫
Y’all think a hammer and punch will push it down thru the pan? No grinding required?
