Question about BBE Fusion mufflers
We just finished swapping my non-Fusion mufflers for Fusions. I'm really impressed with how quickly the valves open and close! However, the difference in sound between open and closed is really negligible - both at idle and while driving. The only point of reference I have is the C6 NPP system, and with that there's a VERY noticeable difference between open and closed.
I opted to keep my existing center muffler instead of getting a new X-pipe with the kit, and I'm wondering if the X would lend itself to a bigger difference between the two modes. I'm really happy BBE let me specify round double-walled tips! I've been wanting those forever. 20190829_195603.jpg Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app |

Re: Question about BBE Fusion mufflers
My Fusion sounds awesome when open. I don’t have a second muffler or cats, and I do have an X pipe. Big difference between open and closed.

Re: Question about BBE Fusion mufflers
I'm wondering if they're not opening too soon. Maybe try pinning them shut to be sure they stay closed and see if they remain quiet.

Not to bad. Enough to let people know you have something special under the hood. I leave it open on the freeway and have a normal conversation in side. Sent from my iPad using ZR-1 Net Registry

Re: Question about BBE Fusion mufflers
I have the FBI version of the Fusion system. Full open is most definitely noticeable as deeper, louder than closed. The C6 ran w/o resonator which was partly the purpose of the NPP valves. In place of resonator, using SW X pipe.
Very mellow at cruise and trailing throttle.

Re: Question about BBE Fusion mufflers
Is your existing center muffler the original stock piece? If so, it is pretty restrictive, and probably doing a lot of the noise reduction now.
