big bore shorty stroke should be the bomb in for 540 rwhp nice hey pete what do the big closed deck sleeves run? I see AES gets 8500 for a fitted block, but I have an odd ball 3.875 stroke on the old lsv and I want to retain the ti rods which will likely require a custom piston like to do the twin turbo boogie one of these days, and the closed deck will help there

Re: HEY PETE!
Ron closed deck is the way to go for Turbo or Nos.
With your odd ball crank you'll have a 414 ci that would be a monster. Big bore with some stroke perfect combo. Pete Quote:

Re: HEY PETE!
Hi Paul
Took "Beast 391" to track yesterday (Great Lakes Dragway). It was last minute decision did not have my sticky Hoosers. I was on Nitto Drag Radial i only cared about MPH. I picked up an average 3.5 MPH. 1.96 60ft 102.4 MPH 1/8 11.30 @ 131.75 1.77 60ft 102.97 MPH 1/8 11.00 @ 131.70 Tried going into 4th. Previous 1/8 was 99 MPH I think it has more in it had my shift light set at 7200 i think it might be a bit high need to lower it to either 7000 or 7100 that for next time or when i have a Dyno sheet. Car picked up 3-4 MPH which tells me it's making more power. If i had to guess car makes about 520+- RWHP. I'm very very happy with the results. I have one video i don't know how to pot it here. Somebody sent it to me via Mesenger. I will post it on my FB page. Next time i'll take my Hoosers for better ET's Pete

Did you upgrade your spindles to the 31 spline ones (visa vis Bob Gillig's route)? And, speaking of beefing up the drivetrain, you're using the RAM dual disk setup, yes? Nice video!
